  • Feels so good I helped this list
  • Only clicked on this video for evangelion
  • 1996-RIP Akira
  • This is one of the finest snippets yet. I like how it gives two sections of the song -- the beginning and the chorus. Most I've seen so far only has one thing or another.
  • The evolution is crazy The fact that some anime’s are still airing and the animation style is improving a lot
  • the fact that 3 Dragon ball openings are present before 2000 only shows how big and influential toriyama sama was and still is even after his passing. RIP Akira sama
  • I imagine 2014 mustve been a pretty stacked year for anime openings, the tokyo ghoul opening obviously, the first noragami opening,no game no life, your lie in april, silhouette. That year also had 2 of my personal favorites with ambiguous and strike back
  • Using this as a vintage anime recommendation list <3 thank you!!
  • I'm impressed that Butterfly (Digimon) is not on the list. However, I absolutely loved the video, it feels like time travel, I could even see myself as a Japanese kid watching these 70s and 80s shows
  • 2017-2022 The new wave of modern shonen anime.
  • Amazing Video! This really shows how anime culture evolved throughout years.
  • Candy Candy was the only anime that my parents watched when they were kids in Mexico. Going to visit family and all the adults sit down to watch Candy Candy in the living room like when they were kids was so nice. I loved that show even though it is old.
  • Please make a video about the Most Popular Anime Endings from the 1970s till the Present in 2024
  • I adore this video! A great compilation of songs and a delicious history pie of anime music.
  • Awesome list though great work!!!!
  • 18 years ago I got a burned CD from a friend with various songs on it. One of my favorites was a song that I thought was in Japanese, but I couldn't be sure. I listened to that CD all the time for a year or so before I lost it. This was just before Shazam was a thing, so I never knew what that song was. For 17 years I would try to find it, but since I didn't know what the lyrics actually were or even what language it was in, I was stuck. Every once in a while, I would listen to hours of anime song compilations, since that seemed like my best bet to find it. I even used music software to recreate the pieces of the song that I remembered, which I posted online in various places to try to crowdsource the search. I never had any luck with any approach. Then today I see this video from a couple weeks ago and think "Hey, maybe there's a chance. Maybe I'll finally find the song." I listen to the video, not really paying attention, until I hear it. I recognize it in two seconds. I've finally found it. An 18 year old song when I first heard it, an 18 year journey, for everything to come together in this moment.
  • A Cruel Angel's Thesis will forever be best for me
  • Wow... this really stirred up memories Of there are zillions of other OPs But this great
  • For some reason it feels like Angel Beats came out a lot longer ago than 2010. It has such a nostalgic feeling to it. I guess because so much started changing around that time. Mid to late 2000's and early 2010's are when smart phones and social media started taking off. Before then the internet and anime were much more like a secret treasure trove only some people messed with and talked about.
  • Neon Genesis is like a total throwback, bringing back all the feels from my childhood. Watching it again is like a blast from the past, reminding me of all the late-night anime marathons and heated discussions with friends about the plot twists. It's like revisiting a piece of my youth and rediscovering why I fell in love with anime in the first place. Nostalgia overload!
  • what a time to be alive. i am so happy and just excited for the future of anime!
  • hear this intros makes me really proud of being part of an incredible community. It feels so good
  • the second half of the 90s is genuinely one of the greatest strings of OPs back to back. like, in any other decade they'd be some of, if not the best. and there's FIVE OF THEM BACK TO BACK
  • Hey i agree with this list, well done
  • jeez, most of these had my head bopping, especially that last one..
  • I watched Angel Beats a few years ago and honestly that OP is my favourite out of anything. It really feels like you're falling through the sky just listening to it. Also it's scary how 2003 feels like a lifetime ago and yet 2013 feels like yesterday.
  • fun fact, oshi no kos op is the first anime op AND first japanese song of all top to hit number 1 on the global top 100 billboard
  • Was hoping for Gantz but this was good!
  • refuse to believe that aot 3rd op was less popular than mha during 2017
  • It's a honor to have Saint Seiya in the list, It is normally skipped since it did not win in English-speaking countries and its time has passed, as a fan of the franchise it is good to see it given some credit
