This is super cute, but please don't do it too often! Most jumping spiders don't like to get wet, and if it goes wrong they can even drown! They are really just that small. I'd love to try this with one of my pet jumpers but no matter how unlikely the danger I will never risk their wellbeing!

I had (and to an extent still have) an irrational fear of spiders, and jumping spiders are what helped me overcome it. Just seeing how expressive they are while observing them really helped me empathize, and understand they were as fearful ofe as I was of them. I have since then studied arachnology at a zoology lab, and have been handling spiders even after leaving the field. Wonderful creatures, that still occasionally creep me out, but now I know that's on me. I promised myself I would never kill anything out of irrational fear again.
