You dont need the diamonds flag in vip area because the flag just increases the chance of diamonds spawning in an area but only diamonds spawn there

Daycare was too OP at launch, 1 Pet gave you around 6K gems, if you placed all 10 in total you ended up getting more than 50K, but they nerfed it the next day and now they only give you 300 instead of 6k
Also use the Flag that give 50% Coins Boost and 2 times Diamonds
From what I'm seeing, Tiki Area is the most f2p area for diamonds. I see quite a few spawning there.
