a lot of disturbing vocaloid song playlists are songs that ive already come across or have heard a million times before, so this is really refreshing and a joy to see!!! thank you for making this!!!
a good thing to note is watashinokoko doesnt use vocaloid! while its lumped in with voca due to the nature of lalavoice, lalavoice is a completely separate engine that is a precursor to vocaloid! watashinokoko is, as far as im aware, the sole user of lalavoice. the character depicted in his music is called "lala", and she uses the "younger sister" voice from the original lalavoice. (if i remember properly).
its a really interesting rabbit hole to get into, and its woefully under-researched in english so a lot of the facts about his work and lalavoice are kinda gated behind a language barrier.
This is a really good playlist! If you ever make part 2 or something, some other pretty obscure songs are Candy House, Specimen Girl, Ano Onna, and Pogo's Playland
listening to this has made me v proud of myself. i remember listening to a lot of the songs in this comp regarding depression, anxiety, general mental health shit and relating so hard in the mid 2010's but... nowadays the feelings feel so far away. I've really come a long ass way in my mental health and should be proud of myself.
daijoubuP is sticking with me in a weird way . i cant even say i like the sounds of most of their songs but they definitely leave an impact . its really cool to find artists like this honestly
God damn you nailed this playlist. Both the "obscure part" and the "unsettling" part-
I'm kinda proud of myself for knowing quite a few songs on this list. Great playlist btw! I was not expecting to see stuff like potatoman, hyperpnea, and definitely not frog in the sun
This genre made by numerous talented artists may seem to contain a lot of disturbing terminologies, but such as the reality of being human with emotional trials given by reality and life itself. It absolutely would be terrifying if given to anyone out of context, but being able to grasp the emotions of these songs give me a form of relief and satisfaction, like it's kind of an anti-suppressor of negative emotions, which to me, I believe helped me cope in a healthy way.
i’d recommend “enmei ningen” by annyahoo but idk if that counts as vocaloid (uses the UTAU Hakaine Maiko). the MV is grotesque but the song is so good…
this playlist is amazing. ngl i'm genuinely surprised to see a vocaloid horror playlist that includes hikkie-p, daijoubu-p, watashinokoko, AND babuchan at the same time? i've never even heard of some of these producers so you weren't lying when you said obscure lol. thanks for the food op
wow this is great ️Even though i have loved vocaloid since i was a child..i still did not recognise quite a few of these songs! Very obscure …nice
Why are there so few views here? As for me, a wonderful playlist of vocaloids, from some songs (although hardly some of them can be called songs here) I even felt nostalgia because I listened to them in my distant childhood, if there is a second part, then I am waiting
I think this reminds me that even the obscure songs deserves some attention. thank you.
also holy hell i love the art work /videos in the later songs, they gave me an unsettling yet nostalgic feel
i love how people are now noticing watashi no koko more!!! machigerita’s “cygnus” is also really disturbing, but it sounds so damn gooduuhhhhhhh!!!!!
my funeral playlist
Was fun to see some songs I didn't even know were 'dark' on here, and seeing some of the ones I recognized right after ones I've never seen before was fun!
hyperventilation dance is a certified banger
hikkiep being recognized makes me unexplainably happy
