It also perfectly presents the chaos and basically presents the end of the world perfectly.

I think this one of the best openings in the whole series. I mean, if u see it after seeing the other seasons, this feels like a great change in the anime. Like if it’s different, u know? And that’s awesome bc it represents very well the topic of the last season, which is completely different compared to season 1-3. Not to mention the WW2 references.

制作陣の「いいだろう、ならば壁の外を見せてやろう」な一切容赦ない感じが好き
マーレ編のOPとして、これほどピッタリ来たものはないわ。本当にセンス良すぎ、神すぎ。
エレン達が夢見た外の世界が、実際はこんな世界だったなんて辛すぎる
ここまで主要キャラが出ないOPも珍しい。
笑顔も綺麗な世界も明るいメロディも何もなくてより一層の絶望感があって衝撃だった。
OPだけでもう一つの作品。
登場人物が誰一人も登場しないOPってもう凄いよね。
まじ進撃はopもedも有名な人とか話題の人使っとけじゃなくて、物語に合うか合わないかで採用してる感じして最高
立体機動装置のかっこよさと巨人への恐怖を味わっていた頃はこんなに雰囲気変わってくるとは思えなかったな
こんなに静かなのにこんなに落ち着けないアニメＯＰ無いんじゃないか…。本能がヤバいと警告してくる…。

最近の曲は速くなりがちだしボカロとかだと300超えるのもあるくらいだけど、BPMはそこまでなのにここまで疾走感があるこの曲って凄いよね。
高速で映像が切り替わるのも一つの理由だろうし、うまく曲と映像が噛み合って神曲になってるんだろうね

Omfg its my first time hearing this song in full and the angelic choir is soooooo beautiful
I’ll never forget the first time I heard this, Evangelion and Cruel Angel’s Thesis will forever be dear and close to my heart, this song gives you a feeling which is indescribable, Yoko Takahashi’s vocals just speak to your soul, it’s so epic and angelic and that melody…. those instruments…. absolutely legendary. This is a song that cannot be replicated and I often wonder how they came up with it, it’s no doubt my favorite anime opening. This music video is so so incredible as well, HUGE respect to whoever edited this.

今高校生だけど小学生の頃からこの曲を何度も聴いたり歌ったりしたけど未だに飽きることない神曲。
たとえこの先、世界中に人気になるアニメやアニソンが作られてもこの曲がトップに立つことは絶対に変わらないだろうね。
